Patmos Healing Ministries International (PHMI) is deeply committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ across Africa, with a special focus on unreached communities in Rwanda. Founded in 2007 in Kigali, Rwanda, by Apostle Kaligwire Beatrice, our operations emphasize church planting, leadership development, and compassionate outreach to the vulnerable. Through prayer, teaching, and action, we’re changing lives and building God’s Kingdom in Africa—reaching unbelievers, equipping leaders, and restoring dignity to those in need
Our Commitment to Africa
From our roots in a small community in Kigali, Rwanda, PHMI has grown to fulfill a divine mandate: preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ to all, especially unbelievers, while planting and strengthening churches. Our holistic ministry combines spiritual growth with practical support, ensuring sustainable transformation. Guided by our motto—"Changing lives through God’s Word"—we focus on evangelism, church unification, and empowerment, reflecting Christ's love in every initiative.
Active Operations in Africa
PHMI's operations in Africa, primarily in Rwanda, are active and impactful, addressing both spiritual and social needs through targeted programs.
Church Planting and Support in Rwanda
We plant churches and support them with the Word of God and related capacity building. A young Patmos church in Muhanga, Rwanda, is a prime example, nurtured to become a thriving community of faith.
Quarterly Leadership Training and Capacity Building for Pastors
We provide leadership training to pastors at all levels, bringing churches together to unite and pray for fresh anointing. A collective prayer and leadership conference in Rwanda exemplifies this, fostering unity and spiritual renewal.
Helping Women and Children Victims of Trauma, Poverty, Abuse, and Drug Addiction
We provide economic empowerment to single mothers and their children while leading them to Christ. We seek help for women and their children victims of abuse, rape, and drugs, and assist sex workers to know Christ and change their ways through counseling and economic empowerment. A group of vulnerable women in Muhanga district, Rwanda, has been transformed through these efforts.

Planned Activities for 2026 in Africa
As PHMI expands in Africa, our 2026 plans focus on deepening impact in Rwanda and beyond:
- Continue to organize the quarterly leadership training for pastors and church leaders.
- Fundraise and support new churches to build according to required standards and guidelines, especially in Rwanda.
- Fundraise for various social programs for vulnerable women and children.
- Reaching more people through evangelism in person and online.
